Agartala at a Glance
Agartala is the capital of
Tripura and was founded by Maharaja Krishna Kishore Manikya in the year 1838.
It is situated beside the Haora river and 2 Km from Bangladesh. Agartala is the
second-largest city in North-east
India after Guwahati in terms of
municipal area as Well as population. Some of the significant places of
the town are, Krishnanagar, Banamalipur, Kunjaban, Gol Bazaar and many more.
The professional factors of the town are Gol Bazaar and Kaman Chowmuhani. The
town includes Bengalis and the Bengali language and lifestyle predominates the
town. The primary celebrations recognized in Tripura are Durga Puja and
